Time is one of the most valuable resources we have. While we often treat it as if it's unlimited, we all feel the quiet stress that comes from seeing it slip away—especially when we’re not sure if we’re using it meaningfully.
If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed, unproductive, or disconnected from your goals, this self-assessment is a gentle invitation to pause and reflect. Through a few thoughtful steps, you’ll gain insight into how you're spending your time—and whether it aligns with the life you want to live.
🔢 Step-by-Step: Personal Time Assessment
1. Divide your day into 5 key areas.
Think about how you typically spend your 24 hours. What would your five main time categories be? (For example: Sleep, Work, Family, Screen Time, Self-Care)
2. Create five circles and label them.
In each circle, write one of your categories. Then fill the circles with the specific activities you usually do in that area.
3. Estimate how much time you spend.
Next to each circle or category, write down how many hours per day you usually devote to it.
4. Reflect on the balance.
Take a step back. What are you spending most of your time on? Do these areas reflect what truly matters to you?
5. Don’t judge too quickly.
Avoid comparing your results to external standards. Instead, reflect based on your own values: What brings you peace, fulfillment, or stress?
6. Resist the urge to make instant changes.
Let your reflections settle in. Lasting change begins with deep, honest insight.
7. Ask a deeper question: Who am I?
How old am I? What are my dreams and goals? Where am I in life right now?
8. Define your dreams and timelines.
Write down your goals, and note when you hope to achieve them. Setting clear intentions makes them more real.
9. Rebuild your time map.
Now that you know both where you are and where you want to go, create a new time plan that bridges the gap.
